Las Vegas Time

In case you haven’t guessed by now, this business is high stress. Why? When someone trusts you to take care of the biggest financial decision in their lives, i.e. the financing on a purchase or refinance, not only is it important to get them the best rate possible, it is much more challenging today than ever before to get the loan approved in the first place!
This is a business where you can succeed 90% of the time in taking care of your client and yet get ripped apart inside by the 10% whose deals don’t work out.
That being said, it is the end of the month, and it was a good month for me. My wife and I try to get away on short trips once a month, and we like Las Vegas. We don’t gamble, but there is so much to do there. The selection of shows and restaurants in such a relatively small space is unlike any place else. We treat ourselves to these two days and come back refreshed, looking forward to our next trip. We drive, and we make one stop at Barstow.
The good news is that the deals I had last month which were difficult to get through, got approved (except for one purchase which is still being worked on) and either have closed or will close shortly. The struggle to make all of this happen does take its toll emotionally due to all that is at stake. So, I am looking forward to a great meal tonight, and perhaps we’ll see Jersey Boys.
